Dara McGrenaghan

Over his 17-year career, Dara has led teams at some of the world’s biggest engineering firms and executed award-winning projects across multiple sectors and industries. While working at a large multinational, Dara recognised the need for a more nimble, automated and progressive civil engineering firm that cultivated a positive and empowering workplace culture. In April 2022, he created it by launching MCG Consult.

Dara develops our business strategy, directs the design process and mentors our team. He is proactively involved in every project we take on overseeing quality control, risk management and client relationships.

Dara considers his most important KPI to be employee satisfaction because he knows that a happy and fulfilled team delivers the highest quality work. He is known for uplifting the next generation of civil engineers and offering his team clear pathways for career progression and ownership in the business.

Qualifications: Master of Engineering (Civil Engineering and Construction Management)

Expertise: Commercial building civil design, land subdivision, urban development, major water/sewer infrastructure, road infrastructure, water sensitive urban design, flood risk analysis and mitigation, stormwater management, contract management and superintendence.
